Math--Period 1--Study your divisibility rules. We will have a test on Friday on your rules of divisibility, factoring, equivalent fractions, and reducing fractions. Complete workbook page P 9-1. Remember when making an equivalent fraction by multiplying to multiply your numerator and denominator by 2. Keep it simple and easy! When making an equivalent fraction by dividing, first try to divide the denominator by the numerator. If that works, then divide both numbers in your fraction by the numerator. If that doesn't work, list the factors of your numerator, work backwards in your factor list, and find the largest factor that will divide into your denominator. Divide both numbers in your fraction by that factor.
Math--Period 2--We did not have class today due to our Teens Against Tobacco activities.
Science--Period 3--We continued our citric acid lab today. We will have a quiz on Thursday on your states of matter packet and 1 to 6 of your Reaching Saturation study guide.
Science--Period 4--Today we reviewed lab safety rules and previewed our first Mixtures and Solutions lab. There is no homework.
Homeroom Reminders--Blue permission slips for our trip to Higher Up Park in Ashland are due ASAP. Also students received a lunch order form for Friday's trip. Students may order a bagged lunch from the school cafeteria, or they may bring a bagged lunch from home. Tomorrow is Day 1--Art class.
Have a great night!
