Science--Period 3--Study for tomorrow's quiz.  Study notebook page 14 and the Investigation 2 study guide.  Your finished, colored, and outstanding landform project is due tomorrow.  Remember to use the directions sheet as a check list to be sure that you earn all of the points. 
Science--Period 4--Today in class we carried out another stream-table lab.  This time our stream-table had a slope, and we compared the results to our stream-tables without a slope.  All 6 lab groups did a great job!  You should be studying notebook page 14 and the parts of the study guide that are completed.  If you are doing your mountains and waterways map project again, it must be handed in by the end of the day tomorrow.  There is no written homework.

Math--Period 1--Today in class we finished our Topic 1 tests.  For homework tonight students need to do corrections for their quick check quizzes.  You need to correct the last item on every page on the lined paper that was given to you in class today.  Take your time with your answers and be sure to answer the questions.
Math--Period 2--Today in class we finished our Topic 1 tests.  For homework tonight students need to complete the Rounding to the Thousands worksheet.
Science--Period 3--We did not have class today because of the special programs that we had this afternoon.  Mrs. Rowland did a presentation on the dangers of drugs and alcohol for Red Ribbon Week.  Ms. Prushinski did a presentation on cyber-bullying, and Mrs. Shuttleworth did a presentation on personal hygiene.  There is no written homework.  We are planning a quiz for Friday.  Study the landforms on page 14 and the investigation 2 study guide on stream-tables.

Science--Period 3--Today in class we drew observation diagrams of yesterday's stream-table activity.  We also started the writing activity on notebook page 16.  We will continue this next week.  We are planning a quiz for next week--Wednesday at the earliest.  Students should be studying notebook page 14 and the Investigation 2 study guide on stream-tables.  There is no written homework this weekend.
Science--Period 4--Today in class we drew observation diagrams of yesterday's stream-tables.  We also read and discussed the landform definitions on notebook page 14.  There is no written homework this weekend.
Homeroom Reminders---Several papers were sent home in communication folders today.  Among them you will find a conference request paper.  If you haven't returned the PTO fund raiser packets yet, please do so ASAP.  PTO does a lot of great things for our kids, and your participation in fund-raisers helps to make them happen.  Students do not have school tomorrow due to a teacher in-service day.  When we return to school on Monday, it will be Day 2--Library class.

Math--Periods 1 and 2--Finish textbook pages 24 and 25.  Tomorrow we will have our final Topic 1 test.  Review Topic 1 in your textbook.  This includes lessons 1.1 to 1.6.
Science--Period 3--Check your Grand Canyon worksheet and make any corrections.  It will be collected tomorrow and graded.  Today we carried out a stream-table activity to simulate the experiment described in the Grand Canyon article.  Our class did a great job on this activity!  A quiz is planned for next Tuesday or Wednesday.  You can start to review the landforms on notebook page 14 and the Investigation 2 study guide on stream-tables.
Science--Period 4--Your map project is due tomorrow.  Be sure to use the directions as a check list so you include all of the necessary mountains and bodies of water in your map.  Today we carried out our first stream-table activity, and we observed the process erosion.  We also identified some landforms in our stream-table models.  Great job, period 4!

Science--Period 3--Read pp. 11 and 12 of your Landforms book.  Complete up to number 11 of the Grand Canyon worksheet.  If you are redoing your map project for a BETTER grade, it is due before the end of the day tomorrow.  (See Tuesday's homework blog for Mr. Wolfe's cyber speech!)

Science--Period 3--We finished our stream table study guide in class today.  Continue to review your study guide.  Students received their graded map projects today.  We have some real cartographers in period 3!  If you did not do as well as you would have liked on this project, you may redo it and hand it in to Mr. Wolfe before the end of the day on Friday. This project was worth 70 points.  It helped pulled up many students' averages, and pulled down a few.  Take advantage of this opportunity to earn a higher grade!
Science--Period 4--We did not have class today due to our fire drill.  If you did not do so last evening, finish your Waterways of the United States map activity.

Math--Period 1--Complete page 15 numbers 10 to 26 in your notebook. We will have a quiz on Friday on sections 1.2 and 1.3. You will need to be able to read and write decimals in word and standard form to the thousandths place, write a decimal as a fraction or mixed number, and convert a fraction to a decimal by dividing the numerator by the denominator.
Math--Period 2--Complete pages 16 and 17 in your notebook.
