Math--Period 2--If you need to practice multiplication facts, write them on the paper you received in class today. Complete workbook page 3.  Also complete your chart worksheet with "Decimals: Hundredths" at the top.  We will have a test tomorrow on sections 1-2, 1-3, and 1-4 of our textbook.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Study Lesson 2 in your textbook and your Lesson 2 study guide for our test tomorrow.  After our test tomorrow, we will continue the lab activity that we started today.
Homeroom Reminders--Signed progress reports are due tomorrow.  Tomorrow is Dress-Up Day for Spirit Week.  It is also Day 5--Music class.
Parents, there is no need to purchase expensive gifts for your children.  Buy them plastic cups and sticky notes instead.  They were a big hit in Science class today!  They told me to tell you they don't need expensive electronics or clothes.

Science--Periods 3 and 4--Study Lesson 2 in your textbook and your Lesson 2 study guide for our test on Tuesday.
Homeroom Reminders--Students received their communication envelopes with a lot of papers today.  They also received their progress reports which must be returned with a parent signature by Tuesday.  Next week is Spirit Week.  Themes for every day are as follows...
Monday--Construction Day (construction themed outfits)
Tuesday--Student Dress Up Day
Wednesday--Favorite Team Day (Students may wear shirts from their favorite sports team.)
Thursday--Opposite Day (For example, students may wear their shirts backwards.)
Friday--Spartan Pride Day (Dress in red and blue!  Wear your Spartan shirts!)
When we return to school on Monday, it will be Day 4--Computer class.

Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today in class we did our observations for our two lab activities--"Which method keeps bread the freshest?" and "What will keep the apple slices from turning brown?"  Both of these activities helped students to better understand controls and variables in experiments.  There is no homework. 
Homeroom Reminder--Communication envelopes were sent home today.  Return them to school on Monday.  On Monday it will be Day 4--Computer class.

Week Four!
Math--Periods 1 and 2--We will have our lesson 1.1 test on tomorrow.  Complete the two worksheets that we started in class today.  For the "Reading 7 Digit Numbers" worksheet write the word and expanded form of numbers C to K on lined paper.  Practice reading the numbers on this sheet orally with an adult at home.  If you do this and get the paper signed, you will earn a bonus point for the test.  What a deal!   The second worksheet is called Digit Values.  Follow the directions and complete the paper.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Students received their quizzes back today.  Please review them tonight and return them to school tomorrow.  We started our lab today--"Which method keeps bread freshest?"
