Math--Periods 1 and 2--Today in math we worked on place value.  Students practiced writing numbers in standard, word, and expanded form up to the hundred thousands.  Books need to be covered by Tuesday.  There is no written homework.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today we had a shortened class period due to the pep rally.  Period 3 students finished vocabulary related to our upcoming hands-on activity.  Period 4 students continued their lab safety posters.  There is no written homework
Homeroom Reminders--Communication folders were sent home today.  When we return to school on Tuesday, it will be Day 5--Music.

Math--Periods 1 and 2--Today in math we worked on place value.  Students practiced reading and writing numbers, and as a class we completed a place value chart.  Math books need to be covered by Tuesday.  There is no written homework.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--We wrapped up lab safety as students worked on a lab safety mini poster.  Period 3 was introduced to vocabulary and concepts related to our first hands-on activity.  Period 4 will be introduced to this material tomorrow.  There is no written homework.
Homeroom Reminders--Tickets for this week's football game can be preordered here at school. The cost is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for students and senior citizens. Orders must be placed by tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.  There is a lunch menu change for tomorrow.  The choices are a hamburger or chicken nuggets.  There is no special class tomorrow due to the pep rally.  Remember students may wear a Spartan shirt on Friday's.

Math--Periods 1 and 2--Today students took a pretest to allow the teachers to determine weak and strong areas.  Many students showed great perseverance as they completed this assessment!  Congratulations!  We also started to review addition and subtraction facts.  You can use sites under my math links to practice your facts.  Have your textbook covered by next Tuesday.  There is no written homework.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today's topic was lab safety.  Students role played various science lab safety rules and discussed the consequences of not following lab safety rules.  Tomorrow we will complete a lab safety poster in class.  There is no written homework.

Math--Periods 1 and 2--Today students received their textbooks.  They need to be covered by next Tuesday.  Students also set up their blue math folders and notebooks in class today.  Students will store their math notebooks in their blue folders.  There is no written homework.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today students received their FOSS Landform Science notebooks and their FOSS Landform book of stories.  Students also set up their orange science folders.  Students will store their Landform notebooks and book of stories in their orange folders.  There is no written homework. 
Homeroom Reminders--Thank you for returning all beginning of the year forms.  If you still have not returned all of them, please do so ASAP.  Tomorrow is Day 3--Phys. Ed.
