Math--Periods 1 and 2--Today in class we practiced various fraction skills.  There is no homework. 
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today in class we reviewed measurement and converting between various units of measure. There is no homework.
Homeroom Reminders--Due to our two hour delay, we did not have PSSA testing today.  We will resume testing tomorrow.  Therefore, we have extended our testing to next Monday.  We will test everyday for the rest of this week and next Monday starting at 9:15.  After testing students will have recess, lunch, special, and two classes.  Students may wear their Phys. Ed. clothing.  Also be sure you get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast all week.  Tomorrow is Day 2--Library class.

Homeroom Reminders--Today we started our PSSA testing.  Many students appeared to work hard on their first test!  Congratulations!  We will test everyday next week starting at approximately 9:15.  Make sure you get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.  Students may wear their Phys. Ed. clothing all next week.  If anyone still wants to make a donation to our class "Sweet Tooth" basket, please bring in items next week.  Thank you to everyone who participated!  Our basket is overflowing!  Communication folders were sent home  today.  On Monday, it will be Day 1--Art class.

Math--Periods 1 and 2--There is no homework.  Today we reviewed for our PSSA tests.  You have worked very hard over these past several weeks!  Take your time, work out your problems on scratch paper, and you will do fine on PSSA's!
Science--Periods 3 and 4--There is no homework.  Today we reviewed concepts related to the metric system and standard units of measure.
Homeroom Reminders--Tomorrow we begin PSSA testing.  It will continue to next Friday.  Students may wear Phys. Ed. clothing throughout testing.  Please make sure you get a good night's sleep and eat a healthy breakfast.  We will take our tests every morning starting at about 9:15.  You should have a library book to read once you have finished your test.  We will also have our March homework mixer tomorrow at the end of the day.  If you did not have a missed homework assignment during the month of March, you may bring in a snack, drink, and game.  Tomorrow is Day 5--Music.

Science--Period 3--Read pp. 7 to 10 of your Mixtures and Solutions book and complete 1 to 6 of the Salty Story worksheet.  In Science we have also been practicing finding the mean, median, mode, and range for sets of data.  We will have a quiz on these skills on Friday.
Science--Period 4--Complete your Topic 2 Sentence Organizer sheet.  Remember you should be describing 4 things you could do if you visited your Natural Wonder.  Based upon some of the notes I saw in class today, several students need to do more research here.  Your sentences should show that you did research.  In Science we have also been practicing finding the mean, median, mode, and range for sets of data. Science--Period 3--Start to study your Separating Mixtures Study Guide.  Today in class we started to write our procedures for separating a dry mixture.  As groups finish, they will carry out their procedures.  Several groups did a great job and will start their labs tomorrow at the beginning of class!
Science--Period 4--We continued our map reading activites using the USGS maps of the Grand Canyon, Death Valley, and Mount Shasta.  For tomorrow you need to complete the front of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World paper and bring in the printed web pages and 2 pictures of your Wonder.

Science--Period 3--If you did not finish your Mixtures and Solutions worksheet today in class, finish it tonight.
Science--Period 4--For Friday list the Seven Natural Wonders of the World on the worksheet you received last Friday. Your project web pages for our Seven Natural Wonders of the World project are also due on Friday.  Today in class we started reading our maps from the USGS.  Many students are doing a great job with this activity!
