Supply List for Incoming Fifth Graders

ü four solid colored folders with two pockets
*RED for Reading/Language Arts
*BLUE for Math
*GREEN for Social Studies
*ORANGE for Science
(You may want to purchase several of each colored folder as they often need to be replaced during the year.)
ü 4 wide ruled blue or black marble notebooks (not spiral bound)
ü many many many number two pencils (Regular pencils that can be sharpened are preferred. Lead pencils that can not be sharpened are a distraction.)
ü many many many pencil top erasers
ü crayons (16 or 24)
ü colored pencils
ü highlighters
ü glue stick
ü soft pencil case
ü A donation of a box of tissues would be greatly appreciated!

I am looking forward to seeing everyone in August!

Our final week of the 2015-2016 school year!
Math--Periods 1 and 2--There is no homework.  Students may take home their Math folders, notebooks, and workbooks.  Textbooks must be returned to school.  Use your Math workbooks for summer practice.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--There is no homework.  Students may take home their Science folders and textbooks. 
Homeroom Reminders--Our final day of school will be Thursday, June 2.  Students will receive their report cards and be dismissed at 11:45.

Science--Periods 3 and 4--Study the stapled packet on the skeletal and muscular systems for our test on Tuesday.  Pay very close attention to the highlighted items as you study.
Homeroom Reminders--Thank you to the local veterans who presented a Memorial Day program to our students.  Also thank you for asking us to put flags at the graves of veterans in the Fountain Spring cemetery.  Fifth grade, you did a great job!  Spartan communication folders were not sent home today.  Carnival will be next Friday.  We will have regular classes Monday to Thursday.  Library books must be returned ASAP!  When we return to school on Monday, it will be Day 10--Phys. Ed. class.

Math--Period 2--Get your test on order of operations signed and do your corrections on the lined paper you received in class today. 
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Start to study your study guide on the skeletal and muscular systems.  No date has been set yet for our test.
Homeroom Reminders--Tomorrow is our field trip!  Be at school no later than 7:15.  We should arrive back at NSE at approximately 5:30.  Remember to bring your bagged lunch if you did not order one from the cafeteria.  Thank you, PTO and chaperones, for making tomorrow's trip possible!  When we return to school on Friday, it will be Day 4--Study Island. 
There will be a dress down day on Friday, May 13, 2016, to benefit Caring for Kids.  Students may wear a North Schuylkill tee-shirt and jeans, shorts, or sweatpants.  Suggested donation is $1.00.  On Monday, May 16, 2016, students may wear Phys. Ed. clothing for Kick Butts Day sponsored by the North Schuylkill High School's Teens Against Tobacco club.

Science--Periods 3 and 4--There is no homework today.  In class today, we finished our tests and started our study guides on the skeletal and muscular systems.
