Also, we will have a test next Friday on the Physical Properties study guide on mass, weight, volume, and density. Review this study guide a little every night.

Welcome Back to School!
It was a great first day! Today fifth graders became familiar with our procedures and expectations. Students visited each class for approximately 20 minutes, met their teachers, and were given an introduction to their classes. They also had their Day 1 specials and reviewed lunch and recess rules. In addition students had a grade level meeting where we reviewed grade level and school rules and emphasized personal responsibility and treating others respect. It's our last week of school! Congratulations on your fifth grade successes!
Math and Science--There is no homework this week. Textbooks have been collected. Bring in your textbook if you have not handed it in yet. My math students have grown a lot this year! Continue to stay sharp with your facts by practicing over the summer.
Reminders--Tomorrow is Day 1--Phys. Ed. We also have our Envirothon field trip in the morning, and our end of the year pizza party in the afternoon. Bring a bagged lunch and plenty of water for our field trip. You may also bring sunblock and insect repellent. Library books must be returned by Wednesday. Thursday is the last day of school with an 11:45 dismissal. Lunch will be provided on the last day at 10:15. Mini corn dogs will be served. Report cards will be distributed on the last day as well.
Parents, thank you for your support throughout the year. Fifth graders, best wishes for a successful future!

Science--Periods 3 and 4--Work on your final project which is due on Monday. Be sure to follow the directions in the project packet which is in your orange science folder.
Homeroom Reminders--Tomorrow there will be chorus practice all day at the high school. Chorus members may wear phys. ed. clothes and bring a bottle of water. Chorus members, also bring a bagged lunch tomorrow unless you have made arrangements at school to receive one from the cafeteria. Students who will be purchasing a school lunch on Carnival Day must return the order paper tomorrow. Envirothon Club members, don't forget to bring back your May 30 field trip permission slip ASAP.

There is no homework due to all day chorus practice. Science projects are due on Monday. The chorus concert will be at the high school auditorium at 7:00.
