Please sign and return the bottom portion of the paper to school. Thank you to the Fall Festival committee, parent volunteers, PTO and Bloomsburg University students for making today so memorable for our kids! Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today in class we carried out our lab comparing the how paper and styrofoam cups keep water hot. Students did several temperature readings and completed their data charts. In our next class, we will analyze our class data and introduce our graphing activity related to this lab.

Go online to Google, research the testable question, and write the rest of your hypothesis. In class we wrote our hypothesis up to "because." You finish the rest. If you are able to, you may print and highlight information to support your hypothesis as well. You are only completing your hypothesis. Don't complete anything else in the lab packet.

Science--Periods 3 and 4--There is no homework.
Homeroom Reminders--Spartan communication folders were sent home today. Among the items included is fund raiser information from PTO and school picture forms. Also midterm progress reports were sent home today. Sign and return them to school. On Monday, as part of National Bully Prevention Month, students may dress in blue as a reminder not to bully and to help their peers who are being bullied. When we return to school on Monday, it will be Day 5--Phys. Ed.
Fifth graders showed their Spartan Spirit at the Pep Rally today! Thank you, high school students, for coming to NSE for our Pep Rally!

Math--Periods 1 and 2--Complete textbook pages 14 and 15 problems 1 to 25. Be sure to read the directions for every section. Follow the examples we did in class and do your work in your math notebook. Our quiz was moved to next Tuesday due to our Pep Rally tomorrow morning.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today in class we reviewed sampling and surveys. We completed page 2 of our study guide and reviewed the steps of the scientific method. Start to study your Lesson 2 study guide pages 1 and 2.

Students in fifth grade may bring a drink, snack, and board game to school tomorrow if they have a perfect homework record (no missed or incomplete assignments) or one missed or incomplete homework assignment. Tomorrow is Spartan Pride Day for Spirit Week. Dress in your Spartan blue and red. You may wear jeans. Tomorrow is also Day 4--Study Island. Free PTO t-shirts were sent home today. THANK YOU, PTO!
