Math--Periods 1 and 2--We did not have class today due to our Fall Festival activities.  Remember to get your test signed and complete worksheet Day 8.  This was yesterday's homework assignment.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--We did not have Science class today due to our Fall Festival activities.  There is no homework. 
Homeroom Reminders--Spartan communication folders were sent home today.  Among the items, you will find a conference confirmation paper.  Please sign and return the bottom portion of the paper to school.  Thank you to the Fall Festival committee, parent volunteers, PTO and Bloomsburg University students for making today so memorable for our kids!  Our October homework mixer will take place at the end of the day on Monday.  Students may bring in a snack, drink, and game!  When we return to school on Monday, it will be Day 3--Computer class.

Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today in class we carried out our lab comparing the how paper and styrofoam cups keep water hot.  Students did several temperature readings and completed their data charts.  In our next class, we will analyze our class data and introduce our graphing activity related to this lab.

Science--Periods 3 and 4--Today in class, we started our lab in which we will be investigating the following testable question:  "Do styrofoam cups keep water warmer longer than paper cups?"  Go online to Google, research the testable question, and write the rest of your hypothesis.  In class we wrote our hypothesis up to "because."  You finish the rest.  If you are able to, you may print and highlight information to support your hypothesis as well.  You are only completing your hypothesis.  Don't complete anything else in the lab packet.
Homeroom Reminders--On Monday, we will go to the Book Fair during our special time.  Spartan communication folders were sent home today.  When we return to school on Monday, it will be Day 4--Study Island.

Homeroom Reminders--Tomorrow afternoon, we will have our September homework reward mixer. Students in fifth grade may bring a drink, snack, and board game to school tomorrow if they have a perfect homework record (no missed or incomplete assignments) or one missed or incomplete homework assignment.
