Math--Periods 1 and 2--No homework.
Science--Periods 3 and 4--We took our Investigation 3 test on Wednesday. Some students did not finish it. We will do a review on Monday, January 3 and finish it on Tuesday, January 4. Also any students who did not hand in the scavenger hunt or poster project must hand them in by Tuesday, January 4, 2011. Extra credit on notebook page 36 may be handed in any day during our first week back at school.
Homeroom Reminders--Communication envelopes will be sent home on Thursday. When we return to school after the holiday, it will be Day 2--Music.

Homeroom Reminders--Thursday is Chorus Rehearsal at the High School. Chorus students will have practice all day. They are to bring a bagged lunch. Since most fifth graders are in chorus, we will not have regular classes on Thursday. Students not in chorus are permitted to bring a board game to school. The Elementary Band and Chorus concert is on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. at the high school. We will have regular classes on Friday after the Elementary Band/Chorus concert. On Friday we will have a VO test on prefixes, suffixes, root words, and words 1 to 21. Students should be reviewing VO for 10 minutes every night.

PSSA writing tests will be administered on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings. Our schedule will be normal on Monday. On Monday it will be Day 2--Library. On Tuesday and Thursday, periods 1, 2, and 3 will be held in the afternoon. On Wednesday and Friday, periods 4, 5, and 6 will be held in the afternoon.

PSSA Testing
Next week students in fifth grade will be taking PSSA tests. Tests will be given in the morning and afternoon on Tuesday, April 13; Wednesday, April 14; and Thursday, April 15. Students will not be switching classes on those test days. However, they will have their special classes. Monday will be Day 3--Book Exchange. We will follow our regular class schedule on Monday and Friday.

Period 1--Your map project is due on Friday. Be sure to follow the checklist/grade sheet in order to earn as many points as possible.
