Periods 2, 3, and 4--Read the Investigation 2 article on the Grand Canyon. Complete the three worksheets on the article. This is a graded assignment. Study your map notes for your test on Friday.

Period 1--Test on Thursday. Study your webs, practice test, and marked vocabulary words in your glossary.
Periods 2, 3, and 4--Get your grade sheet signed for your project. This is due tomorrow. Test Friday on the map notes. Finish map worksheet 5 and response sheet 4 for tomorrow. Both of these items will be graded. Color the map, and the response sheet should have at least 5 sentences. Finish your map vocabulary. This goes in your Science notebook. Use the glossary of your Social Studies textbook. Tell your parents about our COOL stream tables!
Social Studies
Period 1--Get your Biopoem sheet signed. This is due tomorrow.
Periods 2, 3, and 4--No homework.
Homeroom Announcement--Midterm progress reports are due signed tomorrow.

Period 1--Work on your Mixtures and Solutions project. This is due Friday, March 6. Test on Thursday on Mixtures and Solutions. Study your practice test, marked items in your glossary, and your webs.
Periods 2, 3, and 4--Get your project grade sheet signed. You did a GREAT job! Corrections are due by Friday, March 6. If you did not hand in a project yet, it is due on or before this Friday. Test Friday on your map notes. These start right after the page "Landforms."
Social Studies
Period 1--Get your Biopoem project grade sheet signed. You did a FANTASTIC job!

Period 1--Your project proposal is due tomorrow. You will have your final Mixtures and Solutions test next Wednesday or Thursday. Study your practice test, marked vocabulary words in your glossary, and your webs.

Social Studies
Period 1--Your Biopoem is due tomorrow. Follow the format of the poem for each line and also proofread for spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.

Social Studies
Period 1--Your final copy of your Biopoem is due on Friday. You must include a picture of your person. Your Biopoem may be hand written or completed on the computer. Your picture may be drawn by you or taken from the Internet. Many of you did a great job on your first drafts. Remember to follow the format of the poem and the mechanics of your writing counts!
Periods 2 and 3--No homework.
Period 4--Review for your 13 Colonies test. We will finish it tomorrow!
Science

Today we continued the PSSA Writing test. Room 219 put forth great effort again today on the test! Congratulations! We also were treated to the "Brainshow Mania" program this afternoon. We had a compressed schedule today with periods 1 and 3.
Science
Period 1--Get test signed. Work on project proposal.
Period 3--Get test signed. Work on Mixtures and Solutions project.
Social Studies
Period 1--Get test signed. Do rough draft of Biopoem.
Period 3--Get Southern Colony paper signed. We will finish our test tomorrow. Review your colony outlines, flashcards, and map.

We do not have school on Monday. Enjoy the long Presidents' Day Holiday weekend. Reminder that period 1 has Mixture and Solution project proposals due on Friday, February 20, and periods 2, 3, and 4 have Mixture and Solution projects due on Friday, February 20. Periods 2 and 4 Social Studies classes, we will finish our tests on Wednesday. Study Tuesday night--flashcards, colony outlines, and map.
