Periods 2, 3, and 4--Quiz tomorrow on Landforms notes--3 terms from Investigation 1 and the information under "How Maps Are Made" should be studied. Reminder--tomorrow is the last day that Mixture and Solution projects that have not yet been handed in will be accepted. Corrections and projects being redone are due next Friday, March 6.

Period 1--Test on Thursday. Study your webs, practice test, and marked vocabulary words in your glossary.
Periods 2, 3, and 4--Get your grade sheet signed for your project. This is due tomorrow. Test Friday on the map notes. Finish map worksheet 5 and response sheet 4 for tomorrow. Both of these items will be graded. Color the map, and the response sheet should have at least 5 sentences. Finish your map vocabulary. This goes in your Science notebook. Use the glossary of your Social Studies textbook. Tell your parents about our COOL stream tables!

Period 1--Your final copy of your Biopoem is due on Friday. You must include a picture of your person. Your Biopoem may be hand written or completed on the computer. Your picture may be drawn by you or taken from the Internet. Many of you did a great job on your first drafts. Remember to follow the format of the poem and the mechanics of your writing counts!
Periods 2 and 3--No homework.
Period 4--Review for your 13 Colonies test. We will finish it tomorrow!

Today we continued the PSSA Writing test. Room 219 put forth great effort again today on the test! Congratulations! We also were treated to the "Brainshow Mania" program this afternoon. We had a compressed schedule today with periods 1 and 3.
Science
Period 1--Get test signed. Work on project proposal.
Period 3--Get test signed. Work on Mixtures and Solutions project.
Social Studies
Period 1--Get test signed. Do rough draft of Biopoem.
Period 3--Get Southern Colony paper signed. We will finish our test tomorrow. Review your colony outlines, flashcards, and map.

We do not have school on Monday. Enjoy the long Presidents' Day Holiday weekend. Looking Ahead to Next Week--Next Tuesday through Friday we will be administering the PSSA Writing tests. Please be sure your child goes to bed at a reasonable time and eats breakfast. Attending school next week is very important! Our Valentine's Day party is next Friday. A list of student names from our homeroom will be sent home in your child's communication envelope tomorrow. There are still a few students who have not brought in party money. Please send it in to school ASAP.
