Science
Period 1--Do 1 to 4 of the "Metals" worksheet. Use page 37 to help you. This paper will be graded.
Periods 2, 3, and 4--Test tomorrow. Study your practice test, web, and unmarked items of your glossary. If we don't have school tomorrow due to the weather, you will have the test the day you return to school. Don't forget to start working on an idea for your project.
Social Studies
Period 1--Test Thursday. Study your flashcards, "Early European Settlements" study guide, "Northwest Passage" study guide, and the highlighted parts of the Jamestown article. These items are stapled and in your Social Studies folder. Also in preparation for the test be able to answer the following items in sentence form:
1--What happened to Roanoke the second time it was settled?
2--Even though Hudson did not find the Northwest Passage, what good came out of his explorations?
3--What hardships were faced by the first Jamestown colonists?
If we are not in school tomorrow and Wednesday, the test will be Friday. If we are out Tuesday OR Wednesday, we will have the test on Thursday. (Trying to cover all possible weather situations here!)
Periods 2, 3, and 4--No homework.
Homeroom Reminders--Party Money is due. Report cards came home Friday. Signed report card slips are due Wednesday, January 28.

Periods 2, 3, and 4--You have a test on Tuesday. Study your practice test, mixture and chemical reaction web, and the unmarked items of your glossary. We also brought home the directions for our final project on Mixtures and Solutions. The project proposal is due on or before Wednesday, February 4.
Social Studies
All Periods--No homework.
Announcements--Report cards and communications from the office were sent home today. Return the bottom of the report card signed to school by January 28.
